Florida Power & Light, Port Orange
FPL has chosen the team at W+J Construction for the renovations at their offices in Port Orange. This 7590 SF renovation is a level III alteration compliance with FBC-existing building. It includes upgrading general finishes, renovation in full cubicle areas and offices, provided new fixtures and finishes in individual restrooms, and redesigned lead engineers’ offices. Addressed the existing exhaust issues in the men’s restroom and provided a new furniture layout. Breakrooms and restrooms have been redesigned for ADA compliance. All new ceiling and lighting finishes and fixtures and reconfiguration of entry vestibules for ADA compliance include the enclosure of the east soffit to prevent excellent warm outside air from entering the building. All new insulation at the roof deck level and the existing lay-in ceiling installation has been eliminated. Existing AC equipment, ductwork, and diffusers will be reused. New power poles for furniture has been provided as required.
