Space Florida, SLSL Taylor Lab

Space Florida hired W+J Construction as the Construction Manager at Risk (“CMAR”) for the renovation/reconstruction of the Space Life Sciences Lab at Exploration Park after a water main break flooded the space. The 10,000 SF project comprised complete demolition and reconstruction of the cleanroom and office spaces. NASA will use the Class 100,000 cleanroom for various science projects.

The renovation included new mechanical to retrofit into the existing building system to maintain the 100K cleanroom status. Epoxy coatings on walls and floors throughout the cleanroom area and unique soundproofing construction, from floor to deck, completed this 8-week project.
