Summary:

The Level II Superintendent will be responsible for the management of construction projects up to  3 MILLION DOLLARS AND MANAGE 25-30 SUBCONTRACTORS.

Role of a Level II superintendent:

Job Responsibilities: Level II Superintendent

  • Site safety, productivity, schedule, quality control and trade and supplier coordination.
  • Work in conjunction with the Project Manager leading the project team.
  • Works with the client and AHJ’S to ensure projects success and future relations.
  • Prepares, manages, implements & updates project schedule with sequence and activity duration including procurement items.
  • Ensures quality of work and materials are upheld and that the budget is followed as planned.
  • Understand & Communicate to all field personnel the owner’s goals regarding construction.
  • Maintain positive relationships with the owners, architects, engineers and other project members.
  • Insure job safety requirements are understood and implemented at all times.
  • Reporting and documentation of all near misses and recordable accidents.
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction documents and constructability as project pertains to project schedule.
  • Creating & maintaining 4 week look ahead schedules on a weekly basis.
  • Assist estimating in project change order takeoffs and schedule impacts.
  • Coordinate punchlist process and close-out procedures with P.M. and owners representative. Strive for all trades to maintain a “zero punchlist” policy.
  • Maintain clean and organized job office as well as all documentation that pertains to the project.
  • Prepare and facilitate weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors and or design team.
  • Sit in and participation in weekly AOC meetings.

Job Requirements: Level II Superintendent

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience of projects of 1-3 million dollars in value and managing 20 plus subcontractors, as level 1 superintendent.
  • Positive and productive attitude, willing to go the extra mile to have a successful project.
  • Minimum of OSHA 30 certification
  • Trained in CPR and basic First Aid
  • Good people and organizational skills.
  • Good problem solving and foreseeing problems that could affect job schedule and or safety requirements.
  • Understanding of budgets and meeting schedule dates.
  • Have the understanding of all scopes of work and an understanding of QA/QC.
  • Having a good working knowledge of civil construction, along with SWPPP certifications and recordkeeping.
  • Ability to read in depth project drawings, specifications and submittals/shop drawings.
  • Understanding how to write and submit formal RFI’S, with direction for correction and/or improvements.
  • Computer skills: Bluebeam, Microsoft projects, excel, word, email, power point.
  • Ability to navigate through company project management software and utilize its features for field activities.

Job Type: Full-time

SALARY:  $70-90k Based on qualifications
